Phalcon Photosyntheziers The Gardening Club is a welcoming space for students who want to learn about plants, sustainability, and the joy of growing things. Whether you’re an experienced gardener or just curious about getting started, our club provides hands-on opportunities to plant, care for, and harvest flowers, herbs, and vegetables. We’ll also explore topics like composting, pollinators, and eco-friendly gardening practices. Members will work together on projects such as maintaining school garden beds, creating seasonal displays, and experimenting with new growing techniques. Along the way, we’ll build teamwork, patience, and an appreciation for the environment. Slam Poetry ClubSlam Poetry Club is supported and operated by The Nebraska Writers Collective, which "fosters personal empowerment and community-building in the Midwest through creative writing and performance poetry." Scholars who are a part of slam poetry will have individual and collaborative opportunities to create poetry for both personal and competitive writing work. Student AmbassadorsStudent Ambassadors are representatives of LNW at several events throughout the school year. They also meet with new students to give tours of the building and answer questions. Student ambassadors must have a positive attitude, be involved in the LNW community, exhibit outstanding communication skills and be accepting of others. FBLAFBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) is a student organization that helps you develop leadership skills, compete in business-related events, and prepare for future careers. Members get the chance to attend conferences, compete in events like public speaking, marketing, or finance, and network with other students from across Nebraska. You can even miss school days for competitions and, if you qualify for state, you may get to stay overnight for the event.
